Minor Rubber Co., Inc. is a manufacturer of industrial rubber products located in Bloomfield, New Jersey, that sells nationally and internationally to a diverse market of OEM manufacturers, distributors, and government organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with and carrying out general accounting/bookkeeping duties
• Processing Accounts Receivable and placing collection calls
• Processing Accounts Payable check runs and inputting of A/P invoices
• Maintaining strong business relationships with vendors and customers
• Performing periodic closing procedures and reconciliations
• Maintaining and balancing inter-company transactions
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks

SKILL PROFICIENCIES:

• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practical knowledge of accounting software
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills with attention to detail
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments with deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a dependable attendance record, operate basic office equipment, sit for long periods of time, and perform repetitive keyboard entry

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting environment
• Associates Degree in Accounting or Business studies preferred

JOB TYPE:

• Full Time, hourly position
